Connection of radio network to SIP-telephone / cellular network / satellite communication network
Provision of a possibility to transmit information from radio network to PSTN using FR-106 gateway.
Radio is connected by an interface cable to FR-106 RoIP gateway. Then the gateway is connected, via an IP-network, to a PBX supporting SIP –feature (e.g. Asterisk of AGAT).
IP-network can essentially be a direct connection between the gateway and PBX using Ethernet-cable, or use can be made of the current LAN, or IP-connection can be in the form of a Wi-Fi wireless technology.

Call from a manpack radio
Subscriber has to press and hold PTT button and dial, the code and number of the telephone in question using a DTMF-keyboard:
* 0 * <subscriber number> # (and release PTT button). If the command is recognized and accepted, interactive voice device (IVD) will say “Accepted”, and then – “Establishing connection”. In case of successful connection, IVD will say “Connection established”, otherwise – “Mistake”.
Then the radio user can communicate with a telephone subscriber in the same way as with other radio users. Depressing PTT button enables talk, whereas released PTT button enables listening.
To break the connection, radio subscriber has to press and hold PTT button and dial:
* 0 # (and release PTT button). If the command is recognized and accepted, interactive voice device (IVD) will say “Accepted”, and will break the connection.
Call from a telephone set
A call from a telephone set to a radio does not differ from a call to a plane telephone set. In this case, the number attributed to RoIP gateway on PBX shall be dialed.
Since a telephone subscriber does not have PTT button, then his telephone set will work in the VOX (voice-activation) mode. Activation of transmission by voice is used to ensure transmission when voice activity is detected. It means that voice will be transmitted each time when the user speaks. If the user is nearby another subscriber then voice activity of the latter may initiate transmission. To prevent false responses, VOX operation shall be adjusted properly.
The solution implemented made it possible to transmit and receive information from a radio network to a telephone network.
